Overlays/Slugs/Ryders are cost effective ways to show that a real estate property has undergone a change, a common example is the use of the word “SOLD”, “50% leased or “One Unit Left” as examples.” They can be made out of plywood, coroplast or vinyl and are placed over top of sign in a conspicuous place.
A “Ryder” board is a permanent extension, generally made of crezon plywood above or below the sign to signify a change like a realtors name and telephone number.
An “Overlay” is generally made of coroplast or vinyl decals that screw on to the front surface of the sign In most cases changing the message from LEASE to SALE or agents names
“Slugs” and “Starburst” are used to change the state of the site such as SOLD or 4 UNITS LEFT
